Day 70 – Sydney, Mrs Macquarie's Point.

I was going to head to the beach but the weather was quite cloudy so I decided to go on a big walk instead. I walked through the Domain and stopped and looked around the Art Gallery of New South Wales. There were a few cool things in there and for once I found a museum which was by donation and not $10+ dollars to get in, it’s not a lot but it all adds up to a tight backpacker like me.

I carried on up the road making my way to Mrs Macquarie’s Point and chair. The views were awesome, as it is the next point across you get really good views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House. I stayed here for a while and read my book before walking through the Royal Botanic Gardens and into the Government House. I walked around the grounds for a bit before heading into the city centre to do some shopping, well more browsing.

There is a massive Westfield in the centre of town so I walked around there and actually bought a dress in a shop called Princess Polly, everything in this shop was slightly pricey but so beautiful, luckily I only found one thing which fit and looked good so obviously I bought it! I think that shall be the last thing I buy before heading to Asia, where I’ll probably need to buy a new carry on bag to bring things home in.

I thought about heading up the Sky Tower but as I looked outside it looked quite dark, which is when I found out it was chucking it down with rain. I decided to abandon ship and make my way back to the apartment. I spent the night in with my soup, TV and skype.
